Trudeau; Does He Have It?

Now that Justin Trudeau has decided to run for the leadership of the Liberal party, it won’t be long before the anti-Trudeau forces start looking in the closet to report something nasty about him. While time will tell, and I wish Trudeau the best in proving me wrong, I feel he does not have a sufficient grasp of the broader political spectrum to be a Prime Minister.

Although he has energy and enthusiasm in approaching the future, his public declarations thus far seems to be heavily weighted towards social issues using a vocabulary eerily similar to that of his father. Pierre Trudeau was a minister in government before becoming Prime Minister. Justin is short on job-related experience. As a younger contender for the leadership, he will likely draw considerable support from the younger generation. He may have the looks and the charm, but does he have what it takes to run the country?
