Resolutions

Every year, some people will use the start of the New Year as a turning point for change. The following are several of the more popular goals people will create for themselves.

Quit smoking, drink less alcohol, lose weight, eat healthy food and get fit, get a better education and/or job, reduce debt and save money, manage stress, travel, volunteer and the more recent goal to reduce, reuse and recycle.

While New Year’s Day may provide some people with the needed motivation, the desire to pursue change should be something to consider every day. If you are contemplating change and are questioning your ability in that regard, perhaps the following quotes from these unknown authors may be of some help.

“Instead of giving myself reasons why I can't,
I give myself reasons why I can.”

“Anything unattempted remains impossible.”

And remember; the preceding words of encouragement need not be restricted to a New Year’s resolution.
