Santa Claus Ritual

Once again, the seasonal ritual of parents bringing their children to visit Santa Claus is upon us. As the big day draws near, children anxiously await to see if their wishes will come true. In the photo below, as a line of parents and children forms on the left, a photographer’s assistant plays with a hand puppet to try and create the ideal conditions for the smiling souvenir. The second photo gets a little closer to the action. Notwithstanding the various antics used to capture the children’s attention, there are some children that simply have no interest in cooperating for the camera. Santa’s bench style chair however allows for more people to enjoy the fun.
