Trump Wins On Taxes...For Now

Now that the GOP dominated U.S. Congress has given President Trump a so-called ‘win’ with the changes to taxation, the results of the 2018 mid-term elections will be the deciding factor on whether or not it was a good idea to push this through without broader congressional support. As the taxation changes provide the biggest benefit to those with higher incomes, GOP congressional members will be held accountable at the ballot box next November. Considering Trump’s dwindling popularity, and based on the assumption he is not forced to resign before then, he will likely be a one-term president, thankfully.
