Perhaps it is time for Nigel Wright to speak up and give his
version of what happened. If he has signed some sort of gag order, let him say
so. If not, and if his disclosures would not negatively impact some
investigation against him or others, he owes it to himself and to Canadians to
try and clear the muddy waters.

Nigel Wright Should Speak
As controversy continues to swirl around the Senate’s three
amigos (Duffy, Wallin, Brazeau) and Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s evolving
explanation of what may have transpired within the PMO, particularly his
reference to the circumstances surrounding Nigel Wright’s departure, there remains many unanswered questions.
Mr. Wright has been described by his colleagues as a man of “great integrity”
with former Reform party leader Preston Manning saying “he’s one of the most
able and ethical people that I know in the business world and political world”.
Even current Conservative party members of cabinet Jason Kennedy and Peter
MacKay have spoken in defence of Wright’s reputation.
