Parti Quebecois In Dream Land

After nine years of a Liberal government, the decision of Quebecers to give another political party an opportunity to govern is not that unusual. While the name Parti Quebecois and the word ‘separation’ may be considered as synonyms for some people, the electoral results of the election are hardly an endorsement for the PQ’s separatist agenda. Even though the PQ may have plans to flex their muscles with the federal government, they must surely realize that with their less than overwhelming victory they will need to ensure their policies and programs cater to more than just those obsessed with separation.

From my perspective, unless the minority PQ government provides a leadership that focuses on the economy, education and health, their time in office will be short-lived.
