One of the main
tourist attractions in North Conway, New Hampshire U.S., is the Conway Scenic Railroad; http://www.conwayscenic.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=home.welcome
Although most train
rides are powered by diesel locomotives, they do offer some excursions with a
steam locomotive. While the website mentions the steam engine locomotive was
built in Montreal, it does not mention that it had service with the Canadian
National Railway. The words “Canadian National” are inscribed on the plaque
with the number “7470” located below the light at the front of the engine. The ‘Canadian
National’ logo, out of camera view, is located on the side of the coal-car
attached to the locomotive. The fact that the steam locomotive did have some
history, as it relates to prior service, could be some useful trivia for
railroad enthusiasts, perhaps helping to add some sentimental connection with
the past.
