You have to give credit to those marketing types that
invented the name “Black Friday” and “Cyber-Monday” to lure more people into
spending their money. While the “Door Crasher” prices on some items have a few
gung-ho buyers camping outside stores days before the sales start, it is
apparent that the gimmicks seem to work quite well. With the economy struggling
to creep out of a recession, the marketing people have added another attention-grabber
to the mix, “Grey Thursday”. As some Americans settle into a day of family
visiting, eating too much and watching football, there will be others out in
search of “Grey Thursday” bargains. What’s next, “Crazy Wednesdays”?
