Ottawa RedBlacks??

It’s official. Ottawa’s new football team is going to be called the “RedBlacks”. What the hell is that? While I imagine a lot of time and money was spent to come up with that name, they obviously should have spent more. I always felt football teams should have menacing names like the ‘lions’, ‘tigers’ and ‘stampeders’ etc.  Calling the new football team the RedBlacks is not much better than calling them the “Chipmunks”?

With regard to all the political shenanigans and questionable expense claims by those who express a desire to serve their fellow Canadians, perhaps it would be appropriate to call the new team the “Ottawa Scammers”.
