RCAF Plane Gets New Paint

NDP Leader Thomas Mulcair is a little upset with the new paint job on one of Canada’s airplanes; the one used for the Prime Minister, the Governor General and other high-profile dignitaries. Mulcair is quoted as saying “The colours of the plane, the whole detailing, is clearly patterned on the Conservative Party.” As comedian Joan Rivers would say, “Oh, grow up” Mulcair.

The plane, with the RCAF logo and Canada brand, is painted blue on the bottom with a red stripe. While the Liberals would have probably opted for a larger red stripe, perhaps Mulcair wants to see the colour orange. Even though it may be Mulcair’s role, as Official Opposition, to keep the government on its toes, this type of criticism does not bode well for his credibility. He should focus his energies on more important matters.

From my perspective, the new paint is a big improvement. Here’s a link if you want to see a photo of the plane.
