Illogical Persistence
Some
people can go through life fixated on an end objective. As a result, they can
risk providing a lesser attention to what lies between the start and finish
lines thereby reducing the chances of attaining their objective. While the
goals may be realistic, if the process to achieve them is flawed, the chances
of success are greatly reduced and the individual simply ends up spinning their
wheels on a road to nowhere. When it comes to demonstrating a lack of
foresight, I believe Albert Einstein’s quote on insanity drives home the
reality of inadequate planning. “Insanity: doing the same thing over and over
again and expecting different results.” And yet, some people faced with the
reality that their approach is faulty will continue to persist. Why?
