When you consider the depressing state of affairs in places
like Iraq, Iran, Syria, Libya and pretty much most countries in that part of
the world, the western media had a welcomed relief to set that ongoing bad news
aside in favour of chronicling the final days in the pregnancy of the Duchess
of Cambridge, the wife of Prince William. While the media will probably
maintain their close hound-like vigil until after the third in line to the
British throne is given his formal name, they will soon return to reporting on less
pleasant news events. Although that in itself is not much to look forward to,
it will hopefully give Prince William’s family of three a chance to have some
personal privacy. They deserve that.
