Ted Cruz, AKA: Hypocrite?

Is Ted Cruz a hypocrite? The Republican presidential candidate recently aired a television ad with his wife and two young daughters. In the ad, a political spin on the famed Grinch tale, Cruz's daughters are reading a story about the Grinch and misplaced emails...a more than obvious whack at the problems encountered by his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, for having some business emails on a personal server.

The Washington Post followed up with a cartoon, since withdrawn, with a caricature of Cruz and his daughters as small monkeys on the end of leashes. Making the point from my perspective. Although the Washington Post has stated they removed the cartoon as it is their policy not to include children, it is Ted Cruz that bears full responsibility in this instance. He was the one to decide to use his own young children to make fun of someone else. Rather than blaming the Post, he should be apologizing for subjecting them to what was an obvious poor decision on his part.

Hypocrite is defined as "somebody who pretends to have admirable principles, beliefs, or feelings but behaves otherwise". I think that answers the question. Perhaps of more significance is the question: do Americans want a hypocrite as president?

The GOP heavyweight insiders must be burning the midnight oil trying to find some redeeming quality in any of their current campaign leaders.
