As the Quebec government moves forward creating policies
that will prevent those people providing public services to wear religious symbols,
all in the name of separating the business of state and church, it will not
include removing the crucifix from the Legislative Assembly. It is simply mindboggling for Quebec Premier
Francois Legault to try and hoodwink people into believing that this approach
is neither hypocritical, or worse, a less than subtle form of discrimination.
While Legault claims to be an advocate for secularism he has his own definition
of what that means and this should be a concern for all Quebecers.
