It appears the Trudeau government has not learned from experience
that stipulating the need for social change as part of business development is
a combination that can be difficult to sell. The prime minister is once again stressing
the need for social change as part of doing business with China and that
approach did not work the last time. While Canada can promote Trudeau’s personal
agenda in other ways, perhaps it is time to keep matters related to commerce
and moralizing separate. The current approach seems to fit that familiar definition
for insanity, doing the same thing over and over and expecting different
results.
