G.G. Payette; Refreshing

An article in the National Post (NP) section of the Ottawa Citizen’s Nov. 4^th edition states that Canada’s Governor General, Julie Payette, is ‘mocking’ Canadians for saying what is scientifically accepted as factual. Although Payette’s speech at the Canadian Science Policy Convention covered several areas, the NP commentary focused primarily on Payette’s reference to those that still believe humans were created by some form of divine intervention. While some people may think Canada’s G.G. should not offer personal opinions, having someone like Payette speak her mind is somewhat refreshing. She should not be ‘mocked’ for that.
