Rather than trying to make a case to maintain the status
quo, which is neither cost-effective nor needed, postal service unions should
adjust their focus to the realities that exist now. db

Reduce Mail Delivery To Three Days A week
Two weeks ago, I posted a poll asking if people could adjust
to mail delivery only three times a week (Monday-Wednesday-Friday). While the
response was limited, there was a majority support for a three-day service.
Although postal unions are understandably opposed to anything that may reduce
their workforce, the reality is that what was once considered a major player in
the delivery of communications, both business and personal, is now considered
by many as an alternate service.
