Once again, the quarterly financial update for Canada Post is in the
red. Faced with a declining volume of mail delivery, a reality of the times that
will only get worse, Canada Post continues in their struggle to acquire new
sources of revenue. Rather than ignore the issue of the frequency for mail
delivery, perhaps Canada Post should start a dialogue with the public about reducing
residential mail delivery. From my perspective, residential mail delivery on
Monday, Wednesday and Friday would be more than adequate.
