Dodgeball Ban...Really?

Just when you think you have heard it all as it relates to the process of educating and developing our children, along comes another “I don’t believe it” action. A school district in New Hampshire has banned dodgeball. The reason; are you sitting down? The board felt dodgeball promoted violence and bullying. If there’s any group sport that encourages violence it is hockey. What about football? Are we going to ban all sports that have the potential for some level of roughness? From my perspective, banning dodgeball for the reasons given is taking our preoccupation with trying to do the right thing to an absurd level. If you think this is an early April fool’s joke, and I wish it was, it is not. Here’s the link: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/03/28/dodgeball-ban-at-new-hampshire-school-district-after-bullying/
