Enjoy Every Day

Many people have heard the expression about the grass being greener on the other side of the fence. Too many of us can waste precious time gazing over that fence at the seemingly greener grass or waiting for something to happen that’s going to remedy whatever may be troubling us. As a result, we may overlook appreciating the moment. The following reminder is a quote from Earl Nightengale:

Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don’t wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it’s at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored.”

And if you are having second thoughts about doing something, this Chinese proverb may be helpful: “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.”
