What the new Liberal leader may have in their favour this
time however is that it is normal for voters to grow tired of incumbent
governments. The desire for change is natural and the new leader of the Liberal
party will build upon that sentiment. While the 42nd Canadian
federal election is not until Oct. 19th, 2015, it is likely the Conservatives
will be targeting their new adversary has soon as it is official. They certainly
have their work cut out to retain the confidence of Canadians, apparently more
so according to the Forum poll if Trudeau is their challenger.

Trudeau Versus Harper?
A recent poll conducted by Forum Research for the National
Post has revealed that with Justin Trudeau at the helm of the Liberal Party,
the Liberals would defeat the Conservatives in the next election. Even though Trudeau
may be the current favourite to win the Liberal leadership, I suspect the
Conservatives may be already preparing a battery of attack ads aimed at
undermining his credibility with Canadians, just as they did with Stephane Dion
and Michael Ignatieff.
