Built 25 years ago, Ottawa’s National Gallery has been the
focal point for both the many visitors to Ottawa as well as for local residents.
The 140 foot high Great Hall is both imposing in its design and its ability to
leave many people amazed. Currently undergoing renovations, including the
replacement of approximately 1500 glass units, work to the Great Hall is
expected to be completed by mid-December. Until then, the National Gallery has
introduced a creative flair to the customary green netting that often covers
scaffolding at construction sites. Unlike most scaffold screening, this one
has received some favourable comments.
