One thing we do know however is that
Donald Trump seems headed down the road to enter the history books as the
person who single-handedly managed to cause such a division within the
Republican Party that many may have thought
as impossible only one year ago. Having recently alienated several prominent
GOP headliners with his ignorant handling of the Khan situation, Trump is now
declaring the election will be 'rigged', calling Hillary Clinton 'the devil'.
The party of Lincoln must be embarrassed with Trump's seemingly endless ability
to rant and rave for his own egotistical purposes. I believe Warren Buffett,
one of the world's most successful businessmen, captured the sentiment of many
when he said yesterday: "I ask Donald Trump: have you no sense of decency, sir?" Buffett,
also under audit, offered to make his own tax returns available if Trump did
likewise, something Trump has steadfastly refused to do.
Abraham
Lincoln is quoted as saying "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you
want to test a man's character, give him power". As Trump's character is already well known, and
it is less than acceptable when you consider how he may approach his
responsibilities as the President of the United States, do you really want to
take the chance of giving him power?
