Eroding Journalistic Objectivity

The media is trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill.....again. This time they are raising a fuss about a photograph of Ivanka Trump sitting behind the president's desk in the Oval Office. Read article at this link: http://epaper.ottawacitizen.com/ottawa-citizen/20170215/textview.  Unfortunately, Michelle Hauser's reporting is silent on the fact that the photo in question has a direct connection to the creation of the Canada-United States Council for Advancement of Women Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders. While some of Hauser's comments have merit, not mentioning the relationship of the photo to the meeting that took place at the White House can serve to consider her article as not meeting the bar for journalistic objectivity.
